OUR EDIBLE OIL

Healthy edible oils of good quality are never chemically treated.

Those clean natural oils do not contain any foreign or colouring matters. Due to the cold-pressing technology, their vitamin and mineral contents are particularly high.

Our rapeseed oil produced from genetically not modified Hungarian rapeseed fulfills all these characteristics.

It has a pleasant aromatic flavour, a mild odour, and it is very rich in valuable Omega-3

and Omega-6 fatty acids, which have proved to contribute to the reduction of the cholesterol level.

As it does not lose its nutritional vitamin and mineral contents even at high temperatures, it is suitable for cooking and frying beyond making salads.

Our oil is produced in accordance with the Hungarian food quality requirements and the HACCP Quality Management Manual.

OUR PRODUCTION METHOD

We buy tested basic materials of good quality, free of any contamination and GMOs from the growers. The rapeseed is repeatedly led through a drum cleaner in our plant before pressing on the basis of our quality control system.

The rapeseed is stored in bags in closed and clean buildings.

Our canola oil is pressed from the purified seeds using a screw-type press at ambient temperature without any heat treatment. The seeds are not exposed to any heat treatment to ensure that the vitamins and minerals in them are not damaged or destroyed. Furthermore, these valuable substances retain their chemical form in the pressed oil. The pieces of equipment we use to press canola oil have all the required qualifications.

After settling, the oil is filtered three times through filters with various pore sizes. The objective is to completely filter out any particles still present in the oil. Particle-free, mirror-clean edible oils with a perfect quality may only be produced by repeated filtering.

OIL REFINING

The filtered oil is physically refined by gentle means in our deodorizing tank. Steam is led through it under vacuum for a short period, without adding chemicals, to improve the quality of odour and taste. This guarantees also that the oil will be free of contamination by bacteria. Then the refined edible oil is forwarded to closed containers.

BOTTLING AND STORAGE OF THE OIL

The filtered canola oil is filled into bottles of various volumes and is stored in dry rooms protected from sunlight.

COLD-PRESSED - WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?

Such oils are produced mechanically without heat treatment, by first purifying the raw material (removing foreign matters such as particles) and then pressing it. Cold-pressed oils may only be purified by settling, filtering or centrifugation. The seeds are not exposed to any heat treatment to ensure that the vitamins and minerals in them are not damaged or destroyed. Furthermore, these valuable substances retain their chemical form in the pressed oil.

We use settling and multiple filtering for purification. Nothing is removed from and nothing is added to the pressed oil. What we produce is absolutely pure natural oil.

GENERAL INFORMATION ON OUR OIL

Nothing is removed from and nothing is added to our cold-pressed rapeseed oil, it is, therefore, absolutely pure and natural. It contains no chemicals, additives or colouring agents and has high levels of vitamins and minerals. We use only genetically unmodified seeds. Our oil is mild in taste and flavour and rich in Omega-3 fatty acids, which can help lowering cholesterol levels. Its colour is of a light golden green. It has a smooth characteristic taste and mild flavour.

Since it is highly heat-resistant, and keeping its valuable substances also while fying or deep frying, rapeseed oil is of excellent use in the kitchen. By using only Hungarian rape seed for our production, we keep regional sustainable development in mind and support the local farmers.

CANOLA OIL - ADVANTAGES FOR CATERING KITCHENS

AND RESTAURANTS

High quality oils are preferred by many because – among others – they are known to contain high levels of mono-unsaturated fatty acids, and these protect the vascular system from atherosclerosis, reduce the HDL cholesterol level of the blood, and diminish the risk of thrombosis and other cardiovascular diseases.

Canola oil contains mono-unsaturated fatty acids in orders of magnitude that are comparable to that of, for example, olive oil thus producing the same beneficial physiological effects.

However, is is capable of something in which it differs from other oils: Canola oil is highly heat resistant, it does not burn or “decompose” even at 180°C. Therefore, unlike other oils, it is suitable for frying and deep frying.

 

With a frying performance of 50 hours, canola oil meets the most advanced needs of catering kitchens and restaurants.

CANOLA OIL - FOR THE BENEFIT OF YOUR HEALTH

Canola oil is produced from the seeds of the rape plant, and it is a light golden green liquid with a characteristic flavour. As something prepared as early as in the 13th century in Europe, canola oil is not a novelty. Later on, an increasing number of scientists analysed its composition. Researchers now believe that a daily consumption of rape oil may provide protection against colon cancer.

According to researches done by the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences of the South Dakota State University, canola oil reduced the prevalence of colon cancer in laboratory animals by 33%. In the experiment, canola oil reduced the incidence and size of tumours per rat by approximately 60% and 90%, respectively.

The beneficial effects of canola oil are primarily

attributed to its high levels of Omega-3 fatty acids, which are essential fatty acids; this means that our body is unable to synthesise them on its own and, therefore, we have to ensure the intake of these fatty acids through nutrition.

The cold-pressed oil from rape seeds is abundant in unsaturated fatty acids and linolenic acid, which have beneficial effects on the functioning of the body. The primary targets of such beneficial effects include cholesterol levels and blood sugar levels, as canola oil helps to maintain their optimal concentrations. One of its great advantages is that it is very resistant to heat treatment, and this fact encourages us to use canola oil in the kitchen as it is excellent for both cooking and frying.
